Saxony, Kingdom. An Albert Order, I Class Commander’s Cross by G.A. Scharffenberg, c. 1915 Auction with separately stitched white circle(Albrechtsorden Komturkreuz I. Klasse). Instituted 31 December 1850 by King Friedrich August II. (1876 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Latin Cross with white enameled arms, joined through the quadrants by a green enameled oak leaf wreath, the obverse overlaid by a central white enameled medallion bearing gilded and rightward facing profile of Duke Albert III, situated within a blue enameled ring
