Constructed of silvered zinc, the obverse consists of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a German national eagle in mid flight. The reverse has two visible rivets securing the eagle, along with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular plate. Unmarked, it demonstrates the characteristics of a mid to late war example
