JIMI HENDRIX - Live on TV ’69 EP THE STOOGES released earlier in that year7'' Limited Edition Black Vinyl. It wasnt until 1969 that Jimi Hendrix made his debut on American television. The first song he recorded was Hear My Train A Comin', where he was backed by the Bobby Rosengarden Band. Drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Billy Cox joined Hendrix at a second transmission along with Juma Sultan on congas, when they cut versions of Izabella and Machine Gun.
