The Conservative leader of the opposition, Mr Disraeli, suggests that perhaps the Conservative statesmen, represented here by Lord Butterfingers, should have left the matter to him. Lord Butterfingers is the high born representative of a number of peers, including Lords Salisbury, Carnarvon and Sandon. The matter in question was the Social Alliance believed to have been made between these statesmen
