P. Q. R" ("Sentus Populusque Rmnus" = "The Senate and People of Rome"), reverse inscribed "AL MERITO" within an open ended wreath of oak leaves and acorns, measuring 30. 3 mm in diameter, edge nicks, bruised, contact marks, without ribbon, very fine.
