Footnote: Thomas Melville Wharton was born in Canada and enlisted as a Private with the Victoria Rifles of Canada on May 5, 1924, at the age of 23. He stated that he was Single, that his religion was Church of England, that his trade was that of Clerk and was sworn in on May 22nd, with G. R.
