The dagger is completed by
Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, By Gebrüder Schneider consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac depicting a portrait of Dr(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of nickel silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with an elongated barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Gebrder Schneider, Vienna, measuring 64. 89
