In bronze, unmarked, "1943" reverse, 38. 3 mm (w) x 45. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: With the Free French Forces harboured in Africa, Henri Giraud produced a locally made War Cross (Croix De Guerre) in Tunisia. The obverse illustrates two crossed French flags, while the reverse bears the date "1943".
