I purchased at an antique store in Missouri

The piece measures 6 1/2 inches tall by 1 3/4" wide and 3/8" deep

which appears to have been rendered on the back of a white paper receipt or wrapper

The sides of the vase are finished with two large circular ash ring handles which are bound with ash splints in the "Penobscot star" pattern

Very nicely made, and a reminder of the seashore anytime one wears it! 3 1 4" wide x 1" tall x 1 4" deep and in very good vintage condition. I've polished the silver some and it could be polished a bit more. Pin closes securely with a clasp. There is a maker's mark and "Sterling" stamped on the back.
