Northwest Coast Salish Lidded Coiled Basket made in Portugal pewter 5" wide x 3" deepBeautifully proportioned and in excellent condition, this very fine Northwest Coast Salish tightly coiled lidded basket dates I believe from the late 19th or early 20th century. Salish weavers are well known for their coiled baskets, often decorated with geometric motifs as was this one.
