Hi I’m Jackie. I first heard about Joy of Learning through Emily’s mum Brenda, who is a work colleague and friend. The idea of becoming an educational sponsor and giving a child a chance to attend school really appealed to me.

Joy of Learning provide regular updates to their sponsors on each child which is great as you really see the difference you can make to a child’s life. I also like the fact that the charity provides additional support to the families to ensure that the children can engage and succeed at school.

When I got the chance to become more involved with Joy of Learning, I didn’t hesitate to become a Trustee. I’m looking forward to hearing more about the families supported by the charity and seeing the faces of the smiling children. I will be helping to keep the website updated and any other tasks that may come my way.
