Jesca Namulinde
My name is Jesca Namulinde. I am a Social Worker at Sanyu Babies’ Home and I’ve worked there for almost 4 years. At Sanyu, my job involves managing the children’s cases and overseeing the general welfare of the children. I oversee the entry of the children to Sanyu and then follow up each case individually. My role is to find biological family members and reunite our children with known relatives. When this is not possible we seek to find adoptive families.
I feel so good about partnering with Joy of Learning. As part of my role as social worker at Sanyu I have seen the need for sponsorship and can see where Joy of Learning will be a blessing to reunited families. We aim to reunite children to their living relatives but we find that although the family can usually buy food, they cannot afford health care or education and that is a worry for us and for them.
Joy of Learning is so useful to the children that are reunited back into their families because they are going to have joy. They will go to school and if they are sick they will receive medical attention on time and will be able to eat a balanced diet.
They will have joy!
